Explorations 61 to 63 are very powerful for me. There is a power much deeper than thought, which the ebook calls Ancient Knowledge. The notion of an Elder gets close to the way to use Ancient Knowledge in todays' world.
The notion of Elder is not common today. We have lost something if we lose this notion

An Elder
I am now able to revisit texts which were meaningless to me two years ago. Where are you on your journey?
This site is not an academic exercise, it is part of a journey. Any part of it may resonate with you at any one time. That part may vary hour by hour or month by month. Tune into how you feel right now, and what you want, and don't dismiss it.
This is an extract from 'Sitting in the Fire' by Arnold Mindell. Recommended by a Quaker friend it talks about transformation using conflict. The extract is about true leadership, which is beyond leadership as we tend to see it.(p184)
'The leader follows rules; the elder obeys the spirit.
The leader seeks a majority; the elder stands for everyone.
The leader sees trouble and tries to stop it; the elder sees the troublemaker as a possible teacher.
The leader strives to be honest; the elder tries to show the truth in everything.
The democratic leader supports democracy; the elder does this too, but also listens to dictators and silent voices.
Leaders try to be better at their jobs; elders try to get others to become elders.
Leaders try to be wise; elders have no minds of their own. They follow the flow of nature.
The leader needs time to reflect; the elder takes only a moment to notice what's happening.
The leader knows; the elder learns.
The leader tries to act; the elder lets things be.
The leader needs a strategy; the elder studies the moment.
The leader follows a plan; the elder honours the direction of a mysterious and unknown river.'
Does any of this resonate? Who are the elders in this age? We can all be elders if we wish to open up and transform our thinking.
